Moniwyse

Terms of Use (draft)

Last updated 17 September 2026 · v2026-09-17-draft.1

This is a plain-language draft for the product POC. It is not legal advice and is not a finished NDPA or consumer-law package. Sections marked TO DO are unfinished and are listed in docs/client/privacy-policy-gap-2026-09-17.md.

Moniwyse is a working-title proof of concept for household money tracking. These terms cover how it is offered and what you take on by using it.

1. Who provides this service

To do

Name the contracting entity and its registered address — the same decision as section 1 of the Privacy Policy.

2. What the service does, and what it does not

Moniwyse imports and categorises your financial activity and presents budgets, goals and net-worth views. Figures, exchange rates, imported transactions and category suggestions can be incomplete or wrong — categorisation in particular is produced by AI models and is not checked by a human.

Nothing in the product is tax, investment, accounting or legal advice. Do not rely on it for filing, for a loan application, or for any decision that needs an authoritative figure. Check against your bank.

3. Your account and your household

You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure, for the accuracy of data you enter, and for who you invite into your household. Anyone you invite can see the household's financial records. If you add another person's financial information, you are responsible for having the standing to do so.

4. Connecting your mailbox and bank accounts

Connecting a mailbox or a bank is optional and always yours to revoke. We use read-only access. How that data is handled is set out in the Privacy Policy, and you are asked to agree to it separately before any connection is made.

5. Plans and limits

Free households have usage limits on categories, daily AI suggestions and connected data sources so the workspace stays usable without a paid plan. Paid billing is not live.

To do

Add billing, refund and cancellation terms before charging anyone.

6. Demo and POC data

We may change or reset demo data without notice. Do not put production secrets or real BVN values into shared demo accounts.

7. Liability, termination and governing law

To do

Counsel to draft: limitation of liability, warranty disclaimer, suspension and termination rights, dispute resolution, and governing law.

This is the part of the document that actually needs a lawyer. I have not written placeholder clauses here, because a plausible-looking but unreviewed liability clause is more dangerous than an obvious gap.

8. Changes to these terms

These terms are versioned, and the version you agreed to was recorded at sign-up. Material changes will be notified rather than taking effect silently.
